Assam: 261 stranded individuals reach Dibrugarh, sent in to quarantine

4 passengers found having fever while preliminary test at the Banipur railway station campus.

Dibrugarh ( By – Anil poddar  )-  The Special train carrying around 442 passengers from Delhi and other places starts reaching Dibrugarh Railway. Till filling of this report around 261 passengers reportedly arrived at Dibrugarh Railway Station of upper Assam and all of them sent in to quarantine. 4 passengers found having fever while preliminary test at the Banipur railway station campus. They have been sent to Jokai quarantine centre for further test.

As per information among these 261 passengers arrived today including , 74 are of Dibrugarh district. Among these  74 passengers,  7 passengers belongs to Moran,  12 passengers belongs to Naharkatia, 10 passengers belongs to Tengakhat and 45 passengers belongs to Dibrugarh (East & West revenue circle).

Out of the 74 passengers, four passengers who are resident of Dibrugarh east revenue circle have been found with symptoms of fever. All four belong to a single family. They have been sent to Jokai quarantine centre for COVID-19 test.

Most of the passengers of Dibrugarh except few have been kept in three hotels of the town namely, Samrat, Nandini and Maurya for quarantine. All will undergo COVID-19 test.

While the  passengers of other districts arrived today are  of  Lakhimpur – 19, Tinsukia – 97, Dhemaji – 28, Charaideo – 21, Sivasagar – 5, Biswanath Chariali – 4,   and  Arunachal Pradesh  -13
