Assam: Army helps douse major fire in Jagun

The local authorities and members of civil administration appreciated the Indian Army’s effort.

TINSUIKA-   Troops of Red Shield Division under Spear Corps extended immediate help to the civil population for dausing a major fire broke out at Jagun Market, in Tinsukia district of Assam. The fire had broken out in one of the shops at the market and soon engulfed adjoining shops.

In quick response to the situation, on the night of 21 Aug, unit of the local formation deployed their fire fighting column and took charge of the situation. It took the Army fire fighting team one hour to douse the fire.

The well-coordinated response by the troops of Red Shield Division averted a major disaster and saved lives and property.
