Assam: Army, OIL provides skill development training to youths of lower Assam.

Indian Army & OIL India Ltd jointly provided free of cost skill development training to youths of lower Assam.

Indian Army & OIL India Ltd join hands together with Pragat Edutech to provide free of cost skill development training to youths of lower Assam.

This is current in the context of Army’s initiative to provide a job Opportunity to the local youth & make them self reliant and also preventing them to get drifted away from main stream.

Under the ‘SOIL’ (Self Observed and Initiated Little) initiative to educate, empower & employ the youth undertaken by Red Horns Division, a total of 260 students including 115 girls were exposed to the opportunity of skill development in Tourism & Hotel Management, one of the most sought after job role today at Tamulpur, Baksa District.

OIL under the IT project ‘Swabalamban’ mobilised almost more than 100 youths seeking employment for training.

Training of the selected candidates will commence at Guwahati under Pragati Edutech which will provide them with free fooding, lodging & uniform during the three months of training.

Post training, the students will have our access to Pan India employment in various job roles in hotel Industry.

The youth were also introduced to the RAVI (Recruitment Awareness Vehicle of Indian Army), an unique mobile based recruitment guidance platform initiated by the unit itself.

The ongoing drive has been motivating the local youth to join the Olive-Green Wagon.

This initiative by the Indian Army & Red Horns Divsion has been greatly appreciated by the locals & will go a long way in the Indian Army’s approach towards Nation building.
