As a part of the annual 4th Convocation celebrations of The Assam Kaziranga University, Dr. Murli Dhar Khetan, Chancellor, launched an exquisite compilation and collection of life lessons in his first book publication titled “Baalbodh”.
The book was released in the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries at the Convocation celebrations, which was marked by the presence of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarmah, Minister of Education, Health and Finance, Government of Assam, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Member of Parliament, Jorhat and S.K. Baruah, Managing Director of NRL.
There were also present esteemed guests including the Pro Chancellor of Kaziranga University Basant Khetan, the Vice Chancellor, Kaziranga University, Dr. P.K. Mishra, the Director, Ms. Rainy Khetan, members of the Governing Body, Faculty, Staff, Parents, Students and guests.
“Baalbodh” is a compilation of proverbs, poems and sayings which were inspired by the life of Dr. M.D Khetan. Distinguished speaker, Kisan Bajaj spoke on the occasion where he highlighted the motivation behind the book and provided an insight to the story that led to its publication.
Dr. M.D Khetan’s initial struggle as he began his journey from Rajasthan to Assam, and how he eventually established himself as one of the biggest successes in the both the States, has been the main inspiration behind this collection of life lessons. Emphasizing on hard work, perseverance, patience and faith, this is a testament, in words, of the significance of service to Man and God, through the eyes of a true visionary.
