Assam: Biggest spike in COVID-19 with 26 cases, tally reaches 256

All 26 are from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre.


Guwahati-   Assam on Friday recorded its biggest spike in COVID-19 cases with 26 new cases taking the tally of coronavirus cases in the state to 256,  as per the a tweet of Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Alert ~ In the biggest one-time spike in cases, 26 cases are confirmed #COVID19 +. They are all from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre,  tweeted Mr Sarma.

The total number of active cases now stands at 195, while 54 people have recovered from the disease, he said, adding that 4 people have died of COVID-19.  Besides, three more have migrated to other states, the minister said.
