Guwahati- Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facility at Nagaon Civil Hospital on Friday. The facility has been inaugurated to cater to COVID-19 patients. Tweeted Mr Sarma.

Along with Sarma, minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika, water resources minister Keshab Mahanta and local legislators were present at the hospital.
Minister Sarma also interacted with the doctors and health officials and reviewed the preparedness to deal with COVID-19 pandemic.
It is expected that the ICU facility will give much-needed impetus to the hospital infrastructure.
