Assam: India Army provides Ration to needy people during lockdown

The Army distributed food and essential  supplies which will  last for a week during the lockdown period.

Indian Army provide essential supplies and rations for sustenance to the  poor and destitute at Nalbari, Baksa, Barpeta and Udailguri districts of Assam.

Amid the three week lockdown declared by the Government of India in its fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the nation, units of Indian Army under Red Horns Division provided rations and essential supplies to the poorest of the poor living a life of daily sustenance in Nalbari, Udailguri, Baksa and Barpeta Districts of Assam.

Echoing the organisational ethos of “Service Before Self” in view mounting hardships of the people prompted the Indian Army team to offer help and sustenance to the senior citizens, minorities, destitute and orphanage.

The Army  distributed food and essential  supplies which will  last for a week during the lockdown period.
