Indian Army Tracker dog “Jaari” has achieved a remarkable feat by helping the troops  to locate and recover  a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives, hidden by insurgent organisation  belonging to NDFB(S) at Panbari Reserve Forest in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts(BTAD) in an operation conducted on Tuesday.

Based on specific inputs of presence of huge amount of arms,  the Indian Army  launched a search operation in Panbari Reserve Forest, along with Assam Police and SSB. The Army Canine  Jaari   led his handler and the search teams to the spot and on digging the area, the Army and Police personnel found the hidden cache of arms, ammunition, explosive and war like stores.

The items were subsequently seized by Chirang Police and taken to Panbari police station. The success of the operation is a huge setback to NDFB(S) cadre and will go a long way in ensuring peace in BTAD and Assam especially, in view of BTAD elections scheduled to be held early next year.
