Assam pays tearful tribute to its brave son

The entire village had gathered at the residence of the Braveheart to pay their last respects and show solidarity with the bereaved family.

GUWAHATI-   The last rites of Late Rfn Suman Swargary of 46 ASSAM RIFLES who made supreme sacrifice on 13 Nov 21 in the cowardly attack on the convoy carried out by terrorists of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF), at Churachandpur District of Manipur, were performed at his native village of Kahibari in Baksa District on 15 Nov 21 with full military honours.

The braveheart soldier was given a befitting final farewell by the local Army unit including the ceremonial gun salute in honour of the departed soul. The entire village had gathered at the residence of the Braveheart to pay their last respects and show solidarity with the bereaved family.

Late Rfn Swargary is survived by his wife Mrs Juri Swargary and a son Master Barad Swargary aged two and half years.
