Assam: Sal logs seized by forest personnel in Goalpara, Barpeta districts

GUWAHATI-   A vehicle loaded with sal logs was  seized at Ambari Khekapara under Dhupdhara Beat of Rongjuli Range in Goalpara district on Monday.

Forest personnel of Dhupdhara Beat of Ronjuli Range detected and seized the Mahindra DI vehicle at around 2 am last night as per direction of Forest Range Officer, Rongjuli Range, Salim Ahmed. Several sal logs were seized in the raid.

In yet another operation conducted by Forest Range Officer, Goutam Mahanta, Barpeta Road Range and his personnel at Zabrimari area under Kalgeshia Police Station in Barpeta district on Tuesday, six numbers of matured sal logs were recovered.
