Assam: SSSSO seva dal provides food packets to poor before beginning of lockdown

SSSSO seva dal has provided necessities to around a 100 families. The food packets included Muri, Flattened Rice (Chira) , Jaggery(Gur) , Biscuits and Bread.

Guwahati-   As you know the lockdown for the poor people mean a complete dearth of food and other supplies. And this lockdown, the govt has decided to close down all the grocery stores even. These Narayan do not have enough money to hoard food and other supplies in their homes for survival.

Hence a team of seva Dal of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations ( SSSSO ),  led by Swapan Datta came out on the streets following the complete guidelines led down by the government and the organisation to help the Narayan and we believe, this is the true Narayan Seva. Though we are not financially rich, but we’re mentally and physically strong to take a decision, said a press realese issued by SSSSO

With the marginal resources, SSSSO seva dal has provided necessities to around a 100 families. The food packets included Muri, Flattened Rice (Chira) , Jaggery(Gur) , Biscuits and Bread. The team comprised of  Swapan Dutta, Sushil Sengupta, Putul Das, Mitul Das, Lakhi Baruah and Atul Deka.

With the blessings of Baba and our limited resources we are heartened to have been able to do this. Coming back and looking at the faces of the families whom we weren’t able to provide for, broke our hearts, said Swapan Dutta.

At a time like this, we need to do everything in our power to serve the needy and all Sai Devotees are requested to do the bare minimum when it comes to serving the needy, following the guidelines that have been laid down. We are thankful to Assam Police for their help to maintain the social distancing and other rules, Dutta further said.
