Coronavirus: 1 Foreigner tourist, 2 crew member are in JMCH for observation 

The DC, however, said that there is nothing to panic.

One  among 22 foreign tourists and two of the 34 crew members falling unwell on Saturday have been kept in an observation room at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) on Saturday.

Addressing the media later in the day, Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Roshni Aparanji Korati said that the remaining 21 foreign tourists, 32 crew members, and 52 others on board the Mahabahu tourist vessel will be kept anchored in the ship in the middle of the Brahmaputra for the next seven days for observation or may be sent back to Guwahati after completion of the medical formalities.

The DC, however, said that there is nothing to panic.

She added that 15 of the foreign tourists are Britishers, three Americans, two Germans and one each from France and Australia.
