Coronavirus in India LIVE UPDATE – Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja on Sunday said that five new positive cases of coronavirus have been detected in the state. She said that three out of the five have travel history to Italy and were tested positive in India.

Five more in Kerala have tested positive

Five of a family in Kerala have tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of infected people in the country to 39. Three of the family had recently visited Italy. The five people who tested positive are residents of Pathanamthitta district. All have been admitted to the Pathnamathitta general hospital and are under observation.

Assam– Dibrugarh Admin appeal to avoid mass gathering

As per advisory issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India ,  Dibrugarh district administration has cancelled all  the permissions issued for procession, meeting, theatre and events involving mass gathering with immediate effect. The district administration has already appealed people to avoid mass gathering in view of the above order to prevent possibility of spread of coronavirus.

Assam- 1 Foreigner tourist, 2 crew member are in JMCH for observation 

One  among 22 foreign tourists and two of the 34 crew members falling unwell on Saturday have been kept in an observation room at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) on Saturday. Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Roshni Aparanji Korati said that the remaining 21 foreign tourists, 32 crew members, and 52 others on board the Mahabahu tourist vessel will be kept anchored in the ship in the middle of the Brahmaputra for the next seven days for observation or may be sent back to Guwahati after completion of the medical formalities.

Arunachal Pradesh bans entry of foreigners

Arunachal Pradesh chief secretary Naresh Kumar directed all PAP issuing authorities to suspend the issue of permits till further orders. The move comes days after Sikkim announced similar curbs on visit of foreigners
