Coronovirus Crisis: Kamalanagar TF provides essential commodities at the public’s door steps

During the 21 Days India lockdown in view of Coronavirus ourbreak the Kamlanagar Task – Forces ( TF)  have been working around the clock to ensure that essential commodities are delivered at the people’s door steps, informed CMCSU Vice-President Pusparoth Chakma to Northeastindia24.com.

After the the declaration of a three-week nationwide lockdown by PM Narendra Modi on 23 March, the people across the Chakma Autonomous District Council have been in house – quarantine and maintaining social distancing and an increased level of conciousness on health has been witnessed.

The Village level Task – Forces ( TF)  including CYCA, CMS, CMCSU, YMA, YLA, Chawngte CHC, Mizoram Police have been working around the clock to ensure that essential commodities are delivered at the people’s door steps and advising them to stay indoor and maintain social distancing with each other. Local vegetables are being supplied from Nalbanya village, said CMCSU Vice-President Pusparoth Chakma to Northeastindia24.com

The local NGOs, Religious Organisations, Commercial school owners, Businessmen, officers like CDYCC, CDCEA, Mahamuni Buddha Vihar, Mizoram Bhiku Sanga, Baptist Bording School, Dularam Higher Secondary Public School, RDD Hardware, AJR Hardware and some individuals have come forward and made financial contributions towards the Village level Level Task Task Force to tackle the the outbreak of Covid-19.

The Central Chakma Mahila Samati (CMS) and Nepal Tailoring are providing local made masks to the needy people.

The Mizoram lone BJP legislator Dr. Buddha Dhan Chakma has donated Two lakh and forty – five thousands from his MLA-LADS fund and the Executive Committee of CADC has donated Rupees fifty thousands.

Screening test check point and quarantine Centres were set up for those who are coming from outside Mizoram and they will be kept in the Isolation Centre at least for 14 days, said the Task Force official.

The people of CADC area got more panic after the news of Mizoram first case of a 50 year old Pastor, who returned from Amsterdam, tested positive for Corinavirus in Mizoram.

Meanwhile the Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Shashanka Ala, IAS visited the Chakma Autonomous District Council’s Headquarter Kamalanagar to monitor the lockdown in the Chakma District.

She has visited the lone Community Health Centre (CHC), Chawngte and Screening check post and also held an emergency meeting with the Village Level Task Forces, NGOs and medical staffs at CADC Rest House Conference Hall to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the areas.

“Writ of the government being implemented within minutes of its formulation in the remote corner Chawngte” Mrs. Ala tweeted.
