 Indian Army Cycling towards Guiness world record

Indian Army Cycling team already travelled 12,000 km  across various cities and treacherous terrains of Ladakh,  Tinsukia  & Tezu.

The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee and 10th Corps Reunion.

In order to commemorate the events, pay homage to the martyrs of the Corps and spread the message of a healthy, clean, green and pollution Free India, and Ultra Cycling Expedition is being undertaken by a team of seven cyclists from 1 EME Centre Secunderabad led by Lt Col Vishal Ahlawat from August 15, 2018 to December 2, 2018.

The team has already travelled 12,000 km  across various cities and treacherous terrains of Ladakh,  Tinsukia  & Tezu after starting from Secunderabad on August 15, 2018.

As part of the expedition, the team of cyclists commenced their record breaking leg of fastest East -West traverse from Tezu on October 16, 2018 at 0330 hrs and have traversed through Rangia on October 17, 2018 where they were welcomed and cheered up by all ranks of Red Horns Division.

The team was subsequently flagged off by Brigadier DS Saini, VSM,  Deputy General Officer Commanding,  21 Mountain Division .

The Cyclists aim to become the fastest ones to cover ‘Golden Quadrilateral’ route by cycle and make a mark in the Limca Book of Records for fastest North- South and East –  West traversed by cycle.
