The five-day Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC 2019) concluded at the Chandigarh University campus on 31st March 2019.
Team TEJAS, the student team of Kaziranga University, Jorhat, who participated in the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) 2019 won the Team Spirit Award and ISIE Future Award of Rs. 1,00,000 on 31st March 2019. Organized by the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE) and Chandigarh University, the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC 2019) in its sixth edition, is Asia’s first solar powered vehicle design and manufacturing event for Engineering students, faculty and professionals.
The five-day Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC 2019) concluded at the Chandigarh University campus on 31st March 2019. The championship saw more than 60 teams participate from over 20 states. In a first, Team Tejas of Kaziranga University was the first ever and only team from the North East to have participated in such an event in the country.
The team included 25 4th and 6th semester Mechanical Engineering students, and was led by Bikash Mishra (Captain) and Pankaj Bora (Vice Captain). A special mention must be made of KU students Dhrubajyoti and Himangshu, who also won the first and second prize in the TALENT HUNT round of ESVC respectively.
With participation in events such as these of national and international repute, the School of Engineering & Technology (SET) at the Assam Kaziranga University aims at changing the region through applied technical education and research, creating bright engineers and entrepreneurs, and developing professional skill. Kaziranga University aims to utilize such experiences to inspire teaching, research and institution building and propel work with professors, researchers, and leaders in education both here and across the nation.
