Sri Satya Sai Baba – A True BenefactorNandita G Sarma )-  Satya Sai Baba was born on 23rd November 1926, as Satya Narayana Raju in a  village in Andhra Pradesh. When He was 14 years of age, He announced that He was the promised reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba.

Sri Satya Sai Baba rightly said, “True education is that which fosters the sense of oneness, draws out one’s divine qualities and promotes the blossoming of human personality.” Sri Satya Sai Baba has fostered a unique approach to education called Educare, drawing out the divine qualities of truth, right conduct, peace, love and non–violence which are latent within the individual.

Sai Baba established the very first Sri Satya Sai School in India in 1968. In  1990s, Sri Satya Sai Schools began to be established outside India. These institutions train teachers and assure quality. There are around thirty one Institutes  of Sri Satya Sai Education in about thirty one countries and around thirty seven Satya Sai Schools around the world.

In the year 1969, to bring forth our country’s spiritual heritage to children, Bal Vikash programme was established. The programme promoted the concept of – Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. Sri Satya Sai School is a full time, independent private school that integrates spiritual education and the practice of human values in daily life.

Sri Satya Sai Baba, believed in free Healthcare. Satya Sai system of Healthcare is unique. It provides completely free Healthcare to every patient without the use  of any public funds. It has been successfully doing this since 1956. Satya Sai  Baba has been working for more than half a century to bring about the joyous  experience of compassion and love to mankind all over the world through his benevolent Healthcare programme. In the year 1956, His mother Easwaramma requested Satya Sai to construct a hospital for the poor. Sri Satya Sai Baba,  believed that free Healthcare, like free education and free drinking water, is  something very essential irrespective of race, religion, creed or economic status. With these noble ideals, the very first Satya Sai Hospital was established at  Puttaparthi, India in 1956.

The services provided by Sri Satya Sai General Hospital in Whitefield in rural Karnataka, serving over two million out-patients, conducting over twenty thousand surgeries is highly appreciable. Sri Satya Sai Baba is an inspiration. His  love and compassion for the needs of Humanity with the motto – “Love All, Serve All” is admirable.

It is seen that, a leading cause of Infant Mortality in India, is because of inadequate medical assistance. Addressing the global burden of congenital Heart Diseases, Sri Satya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart Care was established. Chain of Hospitals treats children totally free of cost restoring dignityto a child’s

life and gifting a Healthy childhood to them. They are at Atal Nagar – Chhattisgarh. The second centre – Sri Satya Sai Sanjeevani International Centre for child  Heart Care & Research was inaugurated by Shri Narendra Modi, Honorable Prime Minster of India at Baghola, Palwal District, Haryana in November, 2016.

Another hospital Sri Satya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart Care and  Training in Pediatric Cardiac Skills, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, is dedicated to the service of humanity.

Coming to Bangalore, Sri Satya Sai Super Speciality Hospital is serving humanity with utmost dedication.

Sri Satya Sai Baba, also has set up the National Drinking Water Mission to eradicate the problem of water shortage. Sri Satya Sai Baba had undertaken a project for the renovation of the dilapidated Kandaleru Poondi canal as well as enhancing the capacity of the Kandaleru reservoir.

It gives immense pride to mention about Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar – the school in  Golaghat, Assam. This English medium Institute established in the year 1994 is counted among the top rated schools in Assam with an excellent academic track record.

Another school, Prasanthi Divine Valley School, established in Dibrugarh, provides  holistic education to the children.
