Assam: AMA organised 52nd Annual Basic Rock Climbing Training Course

92 trainees gathered inside the Assam State Zoo's premises and proceeded forward towards Rohini Kumar Bhuyan Memorial Rock Field.

GUWAHATI: Assam’s adventure pioneer organization Assam Mountaineering Association like earlier years, organised it’s 52nd Annual Basic Rock Climbing Training Course on Sunday. Maintaining the covid protocols, 92 trainees gathered inside the Assam State Zoo’s premises and proceeded forward towards Rohini Kumar Bhuyan Memorial Rock Field.

Inside the rock field the inauguration was held where special guest reporter Ravi Shankar Ravi and Jayanta Das attended the inauguration and also pioneer mountaineer of the association Mr. Rajendra Prasad Gautam, Birendra Kr. Das, Abanita Barua Bhuyan were also present at the occasion.

The meeting was leaded by the President of the association Kishore Kr. Barua and was anchored by advisor of the association Mr. Satyen Sharma. After today’s training course it will be followed by the coming consecutive Sundays of the month at different rock fields within the guwahati city.

During the course of training the basic knowledge including the theoretical and practical techniques of mountaineering and rock climbing will be provided to the trainees. In future selected trainees from the course will be taken for high altitude trekking to the great Himalayas.
