Assam: AOC-in-C EAC visits Air Force Station Kumbhirgram
Silchar: Air Marshal Amit Dev AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command of IAF, visited Air Force Station Kumbhirgram on 24 December 2020.
The Air Marshal was presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the smartly turned out Air Warriors of the base on his arrival.
Air Marshal Amit Dev AVSM VSM was received by Group Captain GS Tung VM, Station Commander, Air Force Station Kumbhirgram.
The station has a helicopter unit which is always on its toes to undertake numerous operational successfully and has been relentlessly contributing towards achieving the national goals.
For their consistent efforts, the visiting dignitary handed over the unit crest to Wing Commander KS Negi, Commanding Officer of helicopter unit and appreciated aircrew for undertaking all the operational missions and other assigned tasks in a professional manner.
He inspected the station for its operational preparedness and appreciated the professionalism, motivation and performance of the personnel despite COVID-19 limitations.
He visited various units and sections of the station and appreciated the unflinching efforts put in despite its remote location.
