Assam: Army Distributes Learning Kits to underprivileged children at various tea gardens
The army unit reached out to 127 children & their parents residing amidst the tea garden residential settlements.

GUWAHATI- A unit of the Red Horns Division organized distribution of learning kits /notebooks & pens to the underprivileged children at various tea gardens in and around Hattigor, Udalguri district of Assam on 21 Mar 22, Monday.
The initiative, acted as a source of motivation and encouragement to children who remained deprived of physical mode of classes in past 2 years on account of COVID 19 pandemic. The army unit reached out to 127 children & their parents residing amidst the tea garden residential settlements. Local schools catering for the education of these children were also incorporated in the initiative.
The highlight of the campaign was promotion of girl child education wherein the parents and locals were encouraged to ensure regular school attendance of children to ensure their bright further.
The unique initiative conducted by army was hailed by the locals. Overall the event led to spreading of smiles and happiness amongst the little angels alongside delivering a very important social message.
