Assam: Army organises Medical Camp at Sipajhar and Kharupetia

Unit of Red Horns Division of Indian Army under the flagship of Operation SADBHAVANA conducted a Medical Camp at Sipajhar and Kharupetia.

Unit of Red Horns Division under the flagship of Operation SADBHAVANA conducted a Medical Camp at Sipajhar and Kharupetia on 28 December 2018. With the aim to reach out and deliver basic medical care to the needy people, the medical camp was conducted with the assistance of Darrang Health Department, wherein, a team of civil doctors provided with their services for this noble cause. A total of 687 patients were treated. The camp witnessed huge response from local populace.

 Medicals aids such as Tricycle for physically disabled, spectacles for refractive error, ocular prosthesis for enucleation patients, walking sticks and hearing aids were also distributed to the needy.

A blood donation camp and an AIDS awareness programme was also conducted to make people aware about the diseases.
