Assam: Cleanliness campaign launched in Hailakandi

Denizens who have taken active part in the cleanliness mission will also be rewarded by the municipal board by painting their residence gate ‘green’ as a mark of appreciation.

The Hailakandi Municipal Board has launched a Cleanliness campaign ‘I love Hailakandi. My town…my responsibility. Trashtag challenge’ for citizen inclusive participation for making Hailakandi clean and beautiful.
The campaign was launched by Additional Deputy Commissioner, EL Faihraem at the Government Boys’ High School here on Tuesday.
“The campaign aims for citizen inclusive participation for making Hailakandi clean and beautiful. Any citizen specially youth or students of Hailakandi town are welcome to participate in this cleanliness competition. Cash prizes are up for grabs,” said Faihraem.
Citizens can choose any locality of the town that is unclean and take up cleaning drive with a bunch of friends. But do not forget to share before/after selfie of the clean-up. The municipality is there to provide necessary help and assistance.
Denizens of the town who have taken active part in the cleanliness mission will also be rewarded by the municipal board by painting their residence gate ‘green’ as a mark of appreciation for their efforts in sprucing up Hailakandi town.
And that is not all. The most cleaned areas of the town will be suitably awarded with cash incentives by end of the month.
