GUWAHATI- Minister for Environment and Forest, Fisheries and Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya and Minister for Handloom & Textiles etc, Urkhao Gwra Brahma visited the Gossaigaon residence of deceased MLA Majendra Narzary.
Narzary, a four-time MLA from BPF, died due to post-COVID complications in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in the wee hours on Wednesday.
At the direction of Chief Minister, Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma, the two Cabinet ministers went to the residence of the deceased MLA in the evening and paid their last respects by laying floral wreaths on the mortal remains on behalf of the state government.
The ministers also expressed their heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Mourning the untimely demise of Narzary, Suklabaidya said he passed away when he had so much to contribute towards the development of his constituency and Assam as a whole.
Terming him as an epitome of simplicity and a leader of the masses, Suklabaidya said the void created by his untimely death would be hard to fill.
