Assam: NDRF rescued a woman drowned in Brahmaputra river in Sibsagar

NDRF team rescued a woman  live after 10 hrs she drowned in Brahamputra in Sibsagar, Assam.

A 60 years old women has been rescued safely by the 12th Bn NDRF from Brahmapurtra river by this evening who was drowned in Bramhaputra in this morning around 7 am.

The woman had been identified Lakheswaree Hazarika 60 years, of Rupanimukh circle, Gourisagar police station of Sibasagar District Assam.

After receiving telephonic information about the incident from DPO sibasagar, accordingly at around 1.30 pm a team of 12th Bn NDF consisting of total 30 personnel under command inspector Ravi kant rushed to the spot and started search and rescue operation.

After searching around 1.5 km in downstream from incident place NDRF team found women who was stuck in the bushes near the River bank of Brahmaputra and recovered victim alive from Brahmaputra and sent her to hospital for medical treatment.
