Assam reports 2 new coronavirus cases
This brings total cases to 37, out of which 9 cases are active

Guwahati: Assam on Tuesday reported 2 new coronavirus cases. This brings total cases to 37, out of which 9 cases are active and under treatment in different hospital of the state.
A 16-year-old girl from Salmara Bongaingaon, and a person from Goalpara district, both are secondary contact of Markaz attendees ,tested COVID positive, in Assam. The number of COVID19 patients in Assam now stands at 37. However active cases in hospital are 9.

These two new coronavirus cases were reported as on Apr 28 in Assam, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This brings the total reported cases of coronavirus in Assam to 37.
District-wise breakup is available for 35 of the total 38 cases reported in the state. Golaghat had the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 9 confirmed infections.

Assam’s 38 cases put it at number 22 in terms of number of cases among all states and union territories in India. Within the country, Maharashtra continues to have the most cases with 8590, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
