Covid-19 Lockdown: Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation provides Lunch Packets to policemen

As there is no restaurant or any food court is open, but policemen have to attend their duty, even without food.

Guwahati-  During the Covid-19 lockdown period, the police department has been going through a hectic schedule to make the lockdown successful. And in the process, the police personnel are there on the road for the whole day.  As there is no restaurant or any food court is open, but policemen have to attend their duty, even without food.

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Assam, and  Sathya Sai Trust Assam, through Sathya Sai Samitee Guwahati has come forward and took care of these policemen.

With the permission of the nodal officer of Assam Police, The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation today has distributed lunch packets to those policemen who are front line warriors during covid-19 lockdown and  in fighting coronavirus pandemic . The packets including rice, dal, mixed vegetables, pickle, salad and payasam along with a bottle of water.

On behalf of the Assam Police, Ms. Sarmistha Baruah, APS, ADCP (Central), received the lunch packets in the Sadhana Nilayam premises in Jorpukhuri.

The volunteers of the Assam Police under the guidance of Inspector Harmohan Kalita, distributed the lunch packets, which started from Planetarium, and then Pan Bazar, Fancy Bazar, Vishal point (Paltan Bazar), Nepali Mandir, Arya Chowk, Ulubari Point, Guwahati Club Rotary, Silpukhuri, Chandmari, Noonmati, Narengi Tiniali, Patharquarry, Six Mile, Beltola, Ganeshguri Point, Zoo Narengi Tiniali, Bhangagarh, ABC Point amongst others.

A total number of 200 packets of lunch was distributed today through the Police volunteers.

Since last week, the Sathya Sai Organisation has been distributing relief materials in various places and tomorrow there will be another relief camp.

The seva dal of Sathya Sai Organisation have nicely packed the lunch packets in the Sadhana Nilayam premises, Jorpukhuri.

Dr. Gokul Das, Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Trust was present throughout the event. The whole event was attended by Mr. Satyen Sarma, State President, SSSSO.

The program was congratulated and commended by the  Director General of Police, Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, who also added that the SSSSO has been doing a tremendous work during this time of lockdown.
