Indian Army strives to ensure success of Swachhata Abhiyan

The cleanliness drive was organised with an aim to bring in the spirit of ownership of the environment and also take a pledge for conservation of nature.

As a responsibility to keep our students proactive and increase the awareness on the ongoing Swachhata Abhiyan pan India, a unit of the Indian Army, Red Horn Division conducted a cleanliness drive in Kumarikata higher secondary school on 27th Sep 2019.

The cleanliness drive was organised with an aim to bring in the spirit of ownership of the environment and also take a pledge for conservation of nature. Innovative and efficient ideas for preservation and conservation of environment under this campaign were also brainstormed with the students of the school.

The event began with a lecture on awareness about this country wide campaign and how it can be inculcated in our nature and imbibes it in our daily life, followed by a ‘Swacchta Shapath’ and a cleanliness drive.

‘Swachhata’ and ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ is a misson all over the country, Indian Army takes pride in environmental conservation being intrinsic to its character, ethos and traditions. The Indian Army have always taken keen interest in environmental conservation.

Such regular efforts of spreading awareness and nurturing good habits in students were greatly appreciated by teachers and all locals. Event saw participation of more than 120 students from the School.
