The Naga Student’s Federation (NSF), a apex body of students, on Friday took out one protest rally against the illegal immigrants into the state and demanded that Dimapur district to bring under the preview of Inner Line Permit (ILP).

Ignoring heavy downpour in the state capital, hundreds of students from various educational institutions in and around Kohima town gathered outside Naga Club building in front of NSF office in Kohima, where a short function was held.

The leaders of NSF, including the president Kesosul Christopher Ltu and General Secretary Imtiyapang Imsong spoke the danger of illegal immigrants, which can bring a demographic change in the future of Naga people if it is not stop in time.

The leaders appealed every student to think of their future and the future generations to live a peaceful life with their own heritage, traditions and cultures.

The students organised a rally, which paraded through the main road to the residence of chief minister, where they submitted a memorandum to the Adviser to the CM.

Through the memorandum, the NSF apprised the CM that the Federation and its federating units during the 1st Phase of extensive checking of influx of Illegal Immigrants and ILP defaulters discovered that the implementation of ILP in the State has not been properly enforced.
