Sikkim: Abhishek reaches Delhi from Gagtok after completing 1545 km marathon

New Delhi/ Gangtok

Abhishek Prasad Gupta after completing his marathon run from Gangtok reached Sikkim House, New Delhi on 24th January, 2018, after completing 1545 km covering five States namely, Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

His marathon run from Gangtok was flagged off by Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil from Raj Bhavan, Gangtok on 29th December, 2017.

He was given warm welcome by the officers and staff of Sikkim House. In presence of the media and other guests Bhagwan Shankar, Principal Secretary, IPR and Ashwani Kumar Chand, Resident Commissioner, Sikkim House, offered him khada and congratulated him for this achievement.

Abhishek Prasad Gupta s/o Shanker Prasad and Smt. Asha Devi Sharma, hails from Singtam, East Sikkim, took this mission for the noble cause of promoting Organic Mission of Sikkim, Generating awareness against Child Abuse and on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

His goal is to spread the benefits of organic mission which Sikkim has achieved, to all parts of Country and appeal people to adopt a healthy life.

Abhishek Gupta was accompanied by Shanker Prasad (father), Ganga Ram Dhakal (medical escort) and Shri Laxman Lamicheney (driver )
