Assam: AIR Forces Station Digaru celebrates Gandhi Jayanti
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti Air force Station Digaru organised various activities like Cycling, Mini Marathon, Swachchata Padyatra, Tree plantation and Shramdaan etc.

Air Force Station Digaru organised various activities like Cycling, Mini Marathon, Swachchata Padyatra, Tree plantation and Shramdaan towards celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi from 11 Sep 19 to 02 Oct 19. These events were organised to spread Gandhian thoughts and vision in and around the station.
Besides, activities like painting, essay competition, Ba-Bapu quiz and Ahimsa lecture for peace and sustainable development were also conducted at Schools within Air Force camp.
Around 580 personnel of Air Force Station Digaru under the leadership of Group Captain SG Murali, Station Commander enthusiastically participated in the Swachhata Padyatra, a cleanup campaign in village Kamalajari and Digaru located about 6 kms from Air Force Station Digaru.
The Station Commander addressed the motivated air warriors and school children and urged them to inculcate and follow the principles of Mahatma Gandhi which is truth, non-violence, cleanliness, patience, simplicity and well being of others, so as to lead a simple and complete life.
