Assam: Kaziranga University Achieves Outstanding Placements in 2019

Kaziranga University has again been in the forefront recently for achieving unparalleled placements records for its students, for the 2019 academic year. Like previous years, the University has again brought into the region corporate houses and companies and has encouraged them to establish facilities to cater to the needs of students, not only of Kaziranga University, but all over the North-East.
As of 2019, Assam’s Kaziranga University has had a total of 88 companies that have visited the University. More than 450 job offers have been made to students, out of which 78 have been for those who are students of other institutions and colleges, spread over 20 campuses, such as Tezpur University, Dibrugarh University, Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management (Sivasagar), Assam Women’s University, POWEIT and JIST to name a few. These companies include Genpact, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), JustDial, Bandhan Bank, WIPRO, Decathlon, Tata AIG and Bureau Veritas India among several others.
Such outstanding placement records are not new to Kaziranga University. Over the last six years, the University’s Placement unit – the Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC), has placed more than 750 students across the University’s School of Engineering & Technology (SET), the School of Business (SOB), School of Social Sciences (SSS) and the School of Computing Sciences (SCS), in renowned corporate houses, companies and firms all over India. Some of these reputed organisations worth mentioning are Byju’s, Federal Bank, WIPRO, Mphasis, OYO Rooms, J.K Tyres, Super Auto Forge, MKC Infra., Basix B-Able, People’s Forum, etc. among many others.
It is indeed a notable achievement that Kaziranga University has obtained 100% placement for MBA, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering students for this academic year. The highest offer made in 2019 has been for 9 lakhs per annum for MBA as well as B.Tech students.
Kaziranga University has not been behind in terms of international placement as well. 3 MBA students of KU were also placed in highly-coveted positions in Emirates Hospital, Dubai, while a Kaziranga University B.Tech student is working at AUDI in Ingolstadt, Germany. As a special initiative for exploring the placement opportunities of KU students in Japan, which is now attracting large number of students from South and South East Asian countries, Kaziranga University has also collaborated with Nagasaki Wesleyan University and Silver Peak, Japan for the same.
Kaziranga University’s stellar placement performance may also be attributed to its unique strategy in establishing a network of placement offices across industrial cities in India such as Delhi, Bangalore and Pune. With these pan-Indian and international placement activities, Kaziranga University has definitely fulfilled its mission of being a trusted and effective determinant for career development in the North East, and has positioned itself as an un-challenged leader among private Universities in the region.
