Assam: NF Railway staff awarded for exceptional devotion towards duty

Seven railway staff were awarded today by Lokesh Narayan, Addl. General Manager, N.F.Railway for showing exceptional devotion towards duty during the month of November-2017.

Rakesh Kumar, Goods Guard while performing duty by up JTTN Food Grain on 09.11.2017 noticed jerk at km 227/ 7-9 between Kokrajhar and Salakati station. He immediately informed the control thus averted a major accident. In recognition of his meritorious service for preventing accident he was awarded a cash award of Rs. 2500/- alongwith a certificate.

Pallab Panja, Station Master, Ghoksadanga noticed hanging part in 12424 up Rajdhani Express while performing duty. He immediately informed the Station Master of Sajherpar to control the train. Accordingly the train was stopped and rectified. In recognition of his meritorious service for preventing accident he was awarded a cash award of Rs. 2500/- alongwith a certificate.

Ramen Modak, Sr. Goods Guard, Alipurduar while working by up CFCC Food grain observed rail fracture at 37 / 2-3 and immediately informed Station Master of nearest station and thus averted a major mishap. In recognition of his meritorious service for preventing accident he was awarded a cash award of Rs. 2500/- alongwith a certificate.

Dhruba Ranjan Paul, Sr. TE / Alipurduar while working on 15629 Tambaram – Guwahati Express on 08.11.2017 detected burning smell from wheel. He immediately informed the control to stop the train, thus averted an accident. In recognition of his meritorious service for preventing accident he was awarded a cash award of Rs. 4000/- alongwith a certificate.

Satyendra Bharati, RPF constable / Kishanganj while performing duty on 23.11.2017 detected rail fracture at Line no – 1 on which 12343 up Darjeeling Mail was about to arrive. He immediately informed the Station Master thus averted a major mishap. In recognition of his meritorious service for preventing accident he was awarded a cash award of Rs. 4000/- alongwith a certificate.

Libna Beck, Tech – II and Shri Manjesh Kumar, Helper working under SSE/C&W/New Jalpaiguri detected cutting of axle of a wagon in up HAS Stone chip. They immediately informed to control the train thus averting an accident. In recognition of their meritorious service for preventing accident he was awarded a cash award of Rs. 2500/- each alongwith a certificate.
