Assam: Situation normal in Hailakandi: SP
The Superintendent of Police said the law and order situation is normal and under control.

Seven persons have been arrested in the mob violent incident that took place at Netainagar-Laskar Bazar under Hailakandi Police Station in Assam on Friday.
Superintendent of Police, Pabindra Kumar Nath disclosed that the number of arrested persons have gone up to seven so far, including one Grade-IV casual worker of Hailakandi Zilla Parishad. Of the arrested, six persons have already been remanded to judicial custody.
Nath informed that all the nine persons who came from Sonai, Cachar district and illegally tried to take away one buffalo with calf and allegedly tried to kidnap one boy which eventually led to the mob violence were already arrested and sent to judicial custody in two separate cases under Hailakandi and Panchgram police stations on Saturday.
The Superintendent of Police said the law and order situation is normal and under control.
