Assam: Sonowal inaugurates CNG station in Dibrugarh
The station has been installed by the Assam Gas Company . With this Assam has become the second state in the Northeast after Tripura to get a CNG filling station.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the state’s first CNG staion today at Chowkidinghee, Dibrugarh in presence of Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Chandra Mohan Patowary, Minister of Industries, Commerce & Transport, Bolin Chetia, Chairman, Assam Gas Co Ltd, Ashok Kr Bhattarai, Chairman, ASTC, Indra Gogoi, Vice-Chairman, Assam Gas Co Ltd.
The station has been installed by the Assam Gas Company . With this Assam has become the second state in the Northeast after Tripura to get a CNG filling station.

According to reports, Now the Assam Gas Company plans to open subsequent stations in Tinsukia, Sivsagar, Jorhat, Golaghat and Guwahati.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has given much emphasis to make the state free from pollution. with the inauguration of this clean and green fuel station, it will reduce environmental pollution.
The CNG price is comparatively lesser than petrol and diesel. Currently, CNG price in Delhi stands at Rs. 46.60.
It is to be mentioned that economical cars generally promise to deliver an impressive mileage of 26.6 km/kg in CNG mode.
