Madhya Pradesh Showcases Investment Opportunities in Guwahati, Strengthening Ties with North-East

CM Mohan Yadav Invites North-East Investors, Proposes Bhopal–Guwahati Flight to Boost Trade

GUWAHATI- In a strategic bid to attract investors from India’s North-East and neighboring regions, the Government of Madhya Pradesh hosted an Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities at Hotel Radisson Blu, Guwahati, on Sunday.

The session was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who outlined Madhya Pradesh’s vision to become a national hub for sustainable and inclusive industrial growth.

The event, held as a precursor to the Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2025, brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and representatives from Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and the Royal Bhutan Consulate.

Addressing the gathering, CM Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s central location, streamlined single-window clearances, and attractive employment-based incentives—such as ₹5,000 per laborer per month for 10 years—to promote industrial expansion. He also proposed exploring a direct Bhopal–Guwahati flight, aimed at deepening trade and connectivity between the two regions.

“Madhya Pradesh is committed to building a seamless and sustainable business environment. We welcome investors from the North-East to be partners in our growth story,” said Dr. Yadav.

The event emphasized opportunities in sectors including petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, cement, food processing, textiles, IT, renewable energy, defense, and tourism.

A key highlight was the participation of Ghanshyam Das Dhanuka, Managing Director of the Dhanuka Group, who emphasized collaborative ventures in high-growth areas like pharmaceuticals and green energy—sectors where both Madhya Pradesh and Assam share strong industrial capabilities.

Principal Secretary Raghvendra Kumar Singh presented a comprehensive overview of investment policies, while Jigme Thinayel Namgyal, Consul General of the Royal Bhutan Consulate, discussed potential partnerships in bamboo and silk-based industries, reflecting Bhutan’s growing trade alignment with Indian states.

The session also featured B2B meetings and one-on-one dialogues between Madhya Pradesh officials and regional entrepreneurs, exploring cluster-based industrial models and sustainable growth strategies.

Earlier in the day, CM Yadav offered prayers at Kamakhya Temple, expressing optimism about fostering stronger economic and cultural ties with Assam and the North-East.

The initiative marked a significant milestone in positioning Madhya Pradesh as a preferred investment destination while forging new regional partnerships for mutual prosperity and growth.
