A Pastor arrested in Nagaland for allegedly raping a minor, making video and posting in social media.

A 60-year-old pastor arrested at a church in Nagaland for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in Karbi Anglong district of Assam. police also arrested a 35-year-old man for recording the entire act of crime and posting it on social media.
The pastor has been identified as Chandra Kumar Pradhan. According to media report on October 29, the accused called the victim to a garden near his home, where he raped her and fled from the spot.
According to the report, the girl told her parents on October 31, after which they filed a complaint. The pastor changed his location several times to evade the arrest. Finally, on Monday he was arrested from a hotel in Kohima.
Police charged Pradhan for rape under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012.
He was the first bishop to be arrested in a rape case. The nun has accused the clergyman of repeated sexual assault between 2014 and 2016. The bishop had, however, dismissed the allegations as “baseless and concocted”.
