Assam: AdtU organises Personality Development Program themed “The Art of Concentration in the Age of Distraction”

The event featured distinguished guest speaker Chaitanya Dasa, an Ex-Scientist at DRDO and M. Tech Mechanical Engineer from NIT Trichy, who also serves as a practising monk at the AKSHAY PATRA Foundation.

GUWAHATI- Assam down town University’s Faculty of Commerce and Management organized a One-Day Personality Development Program themed “The Art of Concentration in the Age of Distraction”.

The event featured distinguished guest speaker Chaitanya Dasa, an Ex-Scientist at DRDO and M. Tech Mechanical Engineer from NIT Trichy, who also serves as a practising monk at the AKSHAY PATRA Foundation.

The occasion was graced by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Pranvir Singh and Dean of Faculty of Commerce and Management Dr. Bidyut Bikash Das, alongside faculty members and students from various disciplines.

Dasa led insightful sessions on a variety of topics, including understanding the psychology of distraction, practical techniques for increasing focus and productivity, and the importance of mindfulness in maintaining concentration, managing anger and stress, nurturing healthy relationships, and fostering inner peace and happiness.

Attendees learned useful tactics for managing digital distractions and maximising cognitive resources to increase productivity. Dr. Dimpy Pathak Das and Dr. Tssentsupeni Murry, Assistant Professors at the Faculty of Commerce and Management, expertly convened the program, which successfully brought together a diverse audience, fostering exploration and dialogue on strategies for increasing focus and productivity in today’s digital age.
