Assam: Army organised friendly volleyball match at sapekhati
This was an initiative under the FIT INDIA MOVEMENT.
GUWAHATI- Troops of Joypur Battalion under the aegis of Spear Corps of Indian Army with an aim to motivate local youth to stay fit organised a friendly Volleyball match at Sapekhati. This was an initiative under the FIT INDIA MOVEMENT.
The aim of the tournament was not only to motivate the youth to stay fit but also to emphasize on the importance of sports. All the winners were handsomely rewarded.

The local college students who took part in the event thanked Assam Rifles for the efforts and said that such gestures are very encouraging. The event was culminated by tea and light refreshments.
The local populace conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for taking initiative in making the event a great success. Assam Rifles is astute in its ground to help and support the people of the North East thus contributing to Nation building.
