GUWAHATI-   A tense incident unfolded at Aphalamukh Ghat in Majuli, Assam, when two ferries collided during routine operations on the Brahmaputra River. The collision, which occurred around 8:30 AM, involved a Ro-Pax vessel, identified as SB Sarumai, losing control and ramming into a single-engine ferry docked at the ghat.

As investigations continue, the focus remains on preventing future accidents and ensuring the safety of passengers who depend on these ferries daily. For now, the people of Majuli breathe a sigh of relief that a potential tragedy was averted.
