Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attacked with chilli powder outside his office chamber.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was on Tuesday attacked with chilli powder inside the Delhi Secretariat here. The incident took place at around 2:20 pm, it has been learnt. The attacker has been identified as Anil Kumar, around 40 years old and a resident of Narayana. Kumar has been taken to the Indraprastha Estate Police Station.
According to report , the attacker was waiting in the guest room next to the CM’s office inside the Delhi Secretariat. He had come to deliver a letter and when Kejriwal was heading for lunch, the suspect tried to touch his feet. The CM tried to stop him from doing so. In the process, Kejriwal’s glasses got dislodged and fell on the floor. The attacker then threw chilli powder, which was hidden inside a cigarette packet.
The Aam Aadmi Party slammed the Delhi Police for lapses in the incident. The party called the attack dangerous and alleged it was due to the lapses in the security of the CM.
An AAP leader said even the Chief Minister is not safe in the national capital. He questioned how could the attacker cross all security checkpoints and scanners while carrying the chili powder?
Bharatiya Janata Party Delhi president Manoj Tiwari condemned the attack and dubbed it as a ‘sad incident’.
