Manipur Police arrested four teachers in connection with question paper leak case
The leaks have raised questions about security measures, especially after BOSEM had formed 33 flying squads and additional inspection teams to ensure a smooth examination process.

IMPHAL- Manipur Police arrested four teachers in connection with question paper leak case, for both the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) and the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM). This incident has stirred concerns over the integrity of the examination process in the region.
The arrests stem from two separate leaks. One involving the Class 10 Social Science paper, conducted by BOSEM, and the other concerning the Class 12 Physics paper under COHSEM.

The Social Science paper was found circulating online on February 25, 2025, prompting BOSEM to file a complaint with the cybercrime police.
Meanwhile, the Physics paper leak came to light following a complaint from COHSEM’s Controller of Examination, leading to swift action by the Manipur Cyber Crime Police.
SP Cyber Crime Police, Ningombam John, addressed the media on March 4, stating that investigations had just begun and that all suspects were summoned for questioning. He noted that some individuals might also be linked to a Class 11 examination leak, indicating a potentially broader conspiracy. The police are treating these as distinct cases but are exploring possible connections.
The incident has drawn attention due to its timing—occurring during the ongoing Class 10 and 12 board exams, which started in February 2025. Over 29,000 students appeared for the Class 12 exams across 112 centers, while Class 10 exams were scheduled from February 19 to March 7.
The leaks have raised questions about security measures, especially after BOSEM had formed 33 flying squads and additional inspection teams to ensure a smooth examination process.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing, with authorities determined to uncover the full extent of the scam and hold those responsible accountable. The arrests mark a critical step in addressing what has become a significant breach of trust in Manipur’s educational system.
