Six Militants including two women Held in Manipur Counter-Insurgency Ops
Joint operations by Assam Rifles and Manipur Police Commandos led to multiple arrests, including two women cadres, and the recovery of weapons and explosives across several districts.

IMPHAL- Security forces arrested six suspected militants, including two women cadres linked to different insurgent outfits, during coordinated counter-insurgency operations across multiple districts of Manipur, police officials said on Saturday.
According to a police official, the arrested individuals are allegedly associated with banned groups including the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and its political wing, the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF), the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), and the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK).
Two active women cadres of the PLA were apprehended near the India-Myanmar border between Sunrise Ground and Gate No. 2 at Moreh in Tengnoupal district. Officials said the women were residents of Bishnupur and Imphal West districts.

In a series of intelligence-based operations conducted between February 7 and 14, Assam Rifles, in coordination with Manipur Police Commandos, carried out searches across Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching, Thoubal and Tengnoupal districts. The operations led to multiple apprehensions and the recovery of arms and war-like stores.
Security forces recovered an AK-47 rifle, pistols, rifles, improvised mortars, IEDs, hand grenades, ammunition, communication equipment and other materials described by officials as incriminating. Authorities said infiltration attempts along the Indo-Myanmar border were also thwarted during the operations, with several cadres apprehended without resistance.

All arrested individuals and seized items have been handed over to respective police stations for further investigation and legal proceedings. Explosive devices recovered during the operations were safely neutralised in accordance with standard protocols.
Officials noted that the coordinated actions reflect ongoing efforts to curb insurgent activity and maintain stability in the region amid heightened security concerns along the international border.
