Security forces two apprehended NDFB(S) cadres

Security forces apprehended two NDF(S) cadres near Serfanguri on Wednesday early morning. During the interrogation, they confessed to be members of NDFB(S) outfit.
According to a Press release of Assam police today morning at about 05.00 am, an operation was launched by Kokrajhar district Police along with 3 Rajput Regiment, 64 BN. SSB and 210 Cobra from Ride No. 7 up to Ride No. 13 under Serfanguri PS. During search operation in Ride No.8, the operational party observed movement of two suspected persons. On being challenged, they surrendered before the operational party.
one, 7.65 pistol, two 7.65 live ammunitions, one Revolver, five 9 mm live ammunitions , Cash Rs. 1400/- and two Mobile handsets. were recovered from their possession.
Among the two apprehended cadres one has been identified as Konjit Basumatary , 23 years @ B. Khamd, who is Myanmar trained and recently intruded into Kokrajhar district to carry out subversive activities.
Another person was identified as Swmker Basumatary, an Over Ground Worker of NDFB(S) who facilitates ration supply, recruitment & extortion etc.
