IMPHAL:  The Kuki Inpi Manipur, which is the apex body of the Kuki tribes denied the allegations of attack on IRBn Camp by Kuki militants. Kuki Inpi also condemned the attack on CRPF jawans in Manipur, says total disregard for law and order.

The Kuki Inpi Manipur, which is the apex body of the Kuki tribes, has vehemently condemned the attack on Central Security Forces at Naranseina in Bishnupur District which led to the demise of 2 CRPF personnel.

The Kuki Inpi in a press statement said, such act against the Central Security Forces who are providing safety and security for the people is indicative of a total disregard for law and order.

Earlier in a tragic incident, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were allegedly killed in a suspected militant attack in Bishnupur area of Manipur. The attack started at midnight and lasted early morning on Saturday.

The CRPF personnel who were attacked belonged to the 128 Battalion stationed in the Naransena area of Bishnupur district in Manipur.

According to Media report, One of the two jawans killed in the ambush in Manipur has been identified as Naseruddin Sarkar- a resident of Bhela in Barpeta, Assam. Sarkar was stationed in Manipur in election duty.

The deceased jawan leaves behind his wife, two sons and a host of other friends and relatives.

Meanwhile, Following the attack on CRPF at Naranseina IRB battalion HQ in Bishnupur district, a combined team of police, CRPF and Sikh Regiment conducted operations in Khoirentak area in Churachandpur district.

3 bunkers used by Kuki militants destroyed and 4 weapons were recovered alongwith several cartridges.
