Assam: Combine Annual Training Camp of NCC concludes

10 days Combine Annual Training Camp conducted by 60 Bn NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarter, Guwahati at SPS School Barsapara concluded on 18 July 2018. A total of 350 Girls Cadets along with NCC officers from various districts of Assam attended the same.
During the camp, the main emphasis was on all round development of NCC cadets personality. Training during the camp includes Drill, Firing, Map Reading, Self Defence. Guest lectures on Disaster Management, Fire safety, Self Defence , Personal hygiene and sanitation, Legal rights of girl child, Career counselling and banking were also conducted.
A Cultural programme was organised to mark the successful conclusion of the camp wherein Brig Akshat Arora, SM, Group Commander NCC Group Headquarter, Guwahati was the Chief Guest and Mrs Chanda, wife of Mr Krishnanjan Chanda, Principal SPS School was the Guest of Honour.
Prizes for various categorises were distributed to the cadets. The best Cadet of the camp was awarded to Cadet Sukanya of St Mary’s School .
Over all Champion was awarded to Guwahati College in the senior wing and St Mary bagged the championship in the junior wing.
The camp commandant, Col Karnail Singh thanks the school authorities and various other dignitaries without which the camp would not have been a success.
