IMPHAL: Security forces in Manipur arrested seven persons including one Myanmar national and recovered arms ammunition.
Security forces arrested seven persons including one Myanmar national from Chavangphai, Yangoubung, Seijang, Zion Veng under Moreh Police station, Tengnoupal district and recovered 10 gm of gun powder, one Chinese hand grenade, 60 gm of suspected sulphur dioxide, 102 numbers of 12 Bore rounds and 2.5 Kg of suspected explosive material (ammonium nitrate), it added.

Security forces of Manipur continued to conduct search operations in fringe and vulnerable areas of the crisis ridden state on Saturday. Search operations were conducted in Imphal-West, Thoubal, Kakching and Kangpokpi districts.
Two arms (SLR with one magazine, one muzzle Loading Rifle), one Carbine magazine and one wireless radio set were recovered from Loiching range, Kangpokpi district.
During the last 24 hours, the situation in the State was tense but under control with sporadic incidents of congregation of protestors, Manipur Police Control Room said on Saturday.
Imphal-West District Police recovered four vehicles, which were taken away by armed miscreants from the vicinity of jail road on November 1, from different places of Imphal-West.

Movement of vehicles along NH-2 with essential items have been ensured. Strict security measures are taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles, the police control room said.
A total of 133 checkpoints were installed in different Districts of Manipur, and police detained 1320 persons in connection with violations in different districts of the state.

The state police department appeals to general public not to believe in rumours and be aware of false videos. Any circulation of unfounded videos etc may be confirmed from Central Control room, it said.
It also appeals to public to return the looted arms, ammunition and explosives to the police or nearest security forces immediately.
