Manipur: Wushu Championship 2024 concludes in Bishnupur
The event provided an opportunity to the talented athletes of Manipur to showcase their sporting skills.
IMPHAL- The 2nd edition of the Wushu Championship-2024, organized by the Indian Army, under Operation Sadbhavana, concluded on 30 Oct 2024 with a grand closing ceremony held at Kha Potshungbam Nachou in Bishnupur district of Manipur.
The tournament was held from 26 October to 30 October 2024. The event provided an opportunity to the talented athletes of Manipur to showcase their sporting skills.

Over the period of five days, 180 athletes including 75 girls, competed across more than 110 matches in Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior categories, vying for the championship titles.
The closing ceremony was attended by GOC, Red Shield Division along with Indian Army officers and other distinguished dignitaries.

During the ceremony final matches of the Junior Boys, Senior Girls and Senior Boys categories were held, alongside various cultural performances including the traditional Thang Ta dance, Toulu (Wushu Art) demonstration, and an Unarmed Combat Display by Army.
The event concluded with the felicitation of winners by the GOC, who commended all participants for their excellent performances and congratulated the prize winners.

- Silver – Mr Robinson.
Senior Girls Categories
- Gold – Miss Chaoba.
- Silver – Miss Maya.
Senior Boys Categories
- Gold – Mr Arnolder Happy.
- Silver – Mr Heisham Thomas.
The Wushu Championship received widespread appreciation from the local community, offering the youth and residents across Manipur an inspiring platform to showcase their talent and competitive spirit.
