Two individuals were apprehended during the operation and later handed over to local police along with the recovered contraband and the seized vehicle for further investigation and legal proceedings. Authorities described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks operating along the India–Myanmar border routes.
Officials said the seizure highlights the growing challenge posed by narcotics smuggling in the Northeast, a region often used as a transit corridor due to its proximity to international borders. Security agencies have increased surveillance and intelligence-based operations in recent months, focusing on vulnerable routes in Mizoram and neighbouring states.
