Udaypur
In a shameful incident, a couple was beaten up and paraded naked in Khurd village, near Udaypur in Rajasthan, falling under the Sukher Police station area. Not only did the accused beat and parade the couple naked, they also made a video of the same and took it viral over social media. It is only after this that the Police got into action. Two of the accused have been arrested while one is still at large.
Motiram, SHO, Sukher Police station, informed that the incident happened in Khurd village of Chirwa area. A lady called Durga Gameti was married to Taru Gameri in Khurd. Five years ago, the marriage was annuled via the Panchayat. Durga then married Mangilal Gameti of Jhadol. Durga subsequently left Mangilal and came back to Khurd and started staying with one Ramlal Gameti.
When Taru came to know of Durga’s return to Khurd and her staying with Ramlal, Taru reached their home with his brother Harish Gameti and uncle Lalu Gameti. The trio then beat up Durga and Ramlal and paraded them naked after tying them with rope.
The accused recorded the incident and took it viral on social media. After the video going viral, DySP instructed Sukher SHO to immediately take action. Harish and Lalu Gameti were subsequently arrested. The prime accused Taru Gameri however is still at large.
