Two IAF Pilots Killed in Su-30 Crash in Assam

The Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft crashed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district during a routine mission, killing two Indian Air Force officers.

GUWAHATI- Two Indian Air Force ( IAF )  personnel were killed after a Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft crashed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district on Thursday, officials confirmed.

The deceased officers have been identified as Squadron Leader Anuj and Flight Lieutenant Purvesh Duragkar. The aircraft reportedly went down during what officials described as a routine operational mission.

According to preliminary information, the fighter jet crashed in a remote area of Karbi Anglong district. Local authorities and security personnel reached the crash site shortly after the incident and initiated search and recovery operations.

The Indian Air Force has confirmed the loss of both personnel and stated that a detailed inquiry will be conducted to determine the cause of the crash. Such investigations typically examine technical performance, weather conditions, and operational factors that may have contributed to the accident.
